About Karly

Karly Dorr

Karly Kyzar Dorr is an associate attorney at NeunerPate Attorneys-at-Law, a law firm located in Lafayette, Louisiana with over thirty experienced attorneys whose practice areas cover a wide range of legal specialties. In her daily practice, Karly routinely handles estate planning, which includes drafting last wills and testaments, powers of attorney, testamentary trusts, and advanced healthcare directives; succession administration and litigation; business and commercial transactions; general business advice; contract drafting and negotiation; commercial and business litigation; and property dispute litigation. While Karly enjoys all of her practice areas, she especially loves her estate planning practice because of the personal relationships it creates and the ability to positively impact her client’s lives by pushing them to have hard conversations. Many people procrastinate their estate plan because they are “too young” or unconsciously wish to avoid planning for their own mortality. However, implementing a strong estate plan provides an immeasurable sense of clarity and peace of mind by ensuring your loved ones are protected from the uncertainties of the future. Karly received her juris doctorate degree from Louisiana State University’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 2022, graduating magna cum laude, and was admitted into the Order of the Coif, an honor society for law school graduates who complete law school in the top 10% of their class. To better serve her clients, Karly is in the process of qualifying as an Estate Planning and Administration Specialist through the Louisiana State Bar Association. In her free time, Karly loves DIY-ing home renovations, spending time on her family’s cattle farm, reading fiction novels, and traveling to new places.
